Based in County Durham, England, we are Sheila and Doug, a couple whose story blends deep-rooted heritage, shared passions, and an enduring love for life. Sheila’s lineage traces back to a Norman knight from 1066, while Doug’s Scottish ancestry tells the tale of a family that built railroads in Canada. Together, we split our time between the UK and Savannah, Georgia, bringing the best of both worlds to everything we do.
Our love story shines in the little moments—dancing whenever we get the chance, tackling DIY home projects, and cooking every meal side by side. It’s this same spirit of connection, joy, and creativity that inspired us to share the elegance of millinery with the Savannah community.
In 2023, a visit to Durham Cathedral and an introduction to the Duchess of Gloucester reignited Sheila’s lifelong passion for fashion. A single hat for the occasion sparked an idea: why not bring the timeless grace of British millinery to Southern ladies? Partnering with Ellie Lewis, a milliner with over 30 years of experience crafting hats fit for royalty, we curated a collection of high-quality, modern yet classic hats for every occasion. While Ellie has put in 30 years of glorious style and craftsmanship, for our customers we have added our secret ingredient... Love!

Where there is "in person" purchase of the Bonnets, all sales are final. Online sales will include a photo record of the bonnets being packaged and shipped, and the shipment is insured. Any damage in shipment, the purchaser would contact the insurer. Otherwise, all sales are final.
